About Me

My photo
Brian Ernest Brown
I’m an artist, activist, writer, poet, and reluctant priest, but perhaps most of all, a wanderer at heart. My priesthood finds its expression as an "episcopus vagans" or "wandering bishop" and "in peregrinatio pro Christo" or "in exile for Christ". My ordination and consecration was within the Independent Sacramental Movement.I celebrate inclusivity, compassion, grace, diversity, justice, peace, and love.I have always felt a calling toward caring for the marginalized, hurting, and lost, religious freedom, social justice, diversity, animal rights, compassion, peace, poetry, literature, music, and art. I'm an avid and vociferous supporter of human rights, rights for every one of us to be who God created us to be and love whom we choose.I have a deep love of art of all kinds but primarily I write, paint, and work with glass.I am from the gentle rolling hills of the Ozark Mountains and have lived there, on and off, most of my life. While I may wander from time to time, the Ozarks always call me back home.I serve as the Abbot Bishop of the Sacramental Community of the Coworkers of Christ. I'm simply a misfit mystic with an open heart and a free spirit celebrating life and love!
